September saw the annual Community Business Awards, with D.O for the first time sponsoring the Best New Business award. Three local companies, Training U Ltd, ELS and SmallcarBIGCITY were nominated. Following a rigorous judging process which included interviews with the judging panel SmallcarBIGCITY was announced the winner.

By way of background SmallcarBIGCITY are the first company to offer tours of London in classic Mini Coopers, with guides dressed in period 1960’s attire and playing a selection of music from the era. The company has recently celebrated taking its 1,000 tourist ride around London and has risen to fifth best tourist attraction in London on Trip Advisor.
