Chris is the Senior Responsible Officer and Head of Residential Conveyancing at Debenhams Ottaway. In addition he is the Team Leader for the Residential Conveyancing team at the St Albans office. He handles many areas of property related work including the sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold residential properties.

He has particular expertise in easement and general property related work for Utility Companies.

Chris is recognised for his responsive service to clients. Many of his clients are the result of a personal recommendation or have used him before and were delighted with the service that he provided.

Skills & Expertise

Apart from the Conveyancing work involved in buying and selling dwellings of all types, Chris also deals with sales, purchases and leases of residential and commercial properties, including mortgage related work.

He acts for a number of Schools and other Charities and for more than 25 years, has represented some of the National utility companies in their property-related work.

Chris’ role as Head of Residential Conveyancing includes researching many legal and technical topics relevant to his field of expertise. He runs regular technical update sessions with his team to impart this knowledge. This ensures that the advice provided to all clients is based on latest thinking and best practice.
