Rachel Hyndman

Associate Solicitor

Rachel is part of a growing and successful Private Client Department.

She offers specialist advice in the preparation of Wills and the administration of estates and is experienced in Court of Protection work and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney.  Rachel also advises on tax planning in the UK and domicile related issues.

She is recognised for being an approachable and efficient Solicitor who can support her client’s needs.


Skills & Expertise

Rachel’s clients are based in the local Hertfordshire area as well as London. 

In relation to the administration of estates, her experience ranges from small estates through to large complex estates.  She has experience in drafting Deeds of Variations and assisting Executors with their responsibilities. 

Rachel advises clients who are making a Will for the first time in addition to assisting her clients who regularly review their Wills due to changing circumstances.  

She has experience of drafting Lifetime Trusts including Family Settlements, Interest in Possession and Discretionary Trusts.

She also has experience in the fields of Enduring Powers of Attorney, Care of the Elderly, Nursing Home fees, Registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship work as well as advising clients in relation to Deferred Payment Schemes with the Local Authority.

Rachel manages and looks after clients who are subject to Deputyship Orders to ensure that their needs are met.

She also participates in local fundraising schemes.

Background & Qualifications

Rachel is originally from the North East of England and obtained a Masters in English Literature from Dundee University before completing her law qualifications in York.
She joined the firm in 2006 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in to the Private Client Team in 2008. Rachel became an Associate in 2013.
