Susan manages a growing team in the Private Client Department and offers specialist advice in Wills, Probate, Tax planning and Estate Administration. She also advises elderly clients in relation to their general affairs and, in particular, in relation to the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and their registration.
She prides herself on being approachable and providing clear straightforward advice to her clients. She also places great importance on providing an outstanding client service and winning and retaining clients.

Susan’s client base includes a variety of private clients and a number of high net worth clients based both locally in Hertfordshire and in London.
Her experience within the Trusts and Estates field ranges from “Probate only” applications for small estates right through to estates of varying degrees of complexity including those in excess of £5 million
She has experience of drafting Lifetime Trusts including Family Settlements, Interest in Possession and Discretionary Trusts and Trusts of Debts Schemes for lifetime Inheritance Tax Planning. Her experience includes negotiating with Valuers and the HMRC in connection with the valuation both of property and private company shares.
Susan’s experience also includes the fields of Enduring Powers of Attorney, Care of the Elderly, Nursing Home fees, Registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship work.
Susan is regularly appointed by her clients to act as their Executor, Trustee and Attorney. She also regularly gives seminars to clients on Wills, Tax Planning and Elderly client matters.

Susan was born in Kenya and came to the UK in 1994 to study law at University.
She joined Turner & Debenhams (now Debenhams Ottaway) in 1998 as a trainee solicitor, qualified with the firm and became a Partner in 2005.
