Inheritance Disputes

English law, unlike many European legal systems, recognises the principles of freedom of testamentary disposition.

If, however, equitable provision is not made for certain classes of dependants then a claim may be made against the estate under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

We advise both clients who are pursing a claim and those that are resisting claims brought on behalf of a class of beneficiary. As we see things from both sides we have a unique perspective that enables us to advise from both standpoints.
